- Doctorate of medicine obtained in 1877, at the age of 27.
- Previous studies: baccalaureate in letters Aix 1867 and Marseille 1872, 12 registrations allocated for 14 registrations from Algiers, some of which were for health officers (1st quarter 1870 - 3rd quarter 1873)
